For so long my love was a holiday destination; lovers came here to rest and find themselves. I was where they could be sinful with no judgement, a place to run to when they wished to hide from their past traumas.

I’m beautiful when they first see me and warm when they get used to loving within my walls but become someone who deserves happiness when they leave.

For so long my love was the place where memories were made but never treasured but then I met you; you who made the thought of two hearts beating together sound enchanting, you who reminded me that I’m not where souls go to settle but rather that my beauty is worthy of reciprocation.
